American death metal legends SUFFOCATION and Austrian blackened death metal masters BELPHEGOR will play next week in Finland with their new tour Europe Under Black Death Metal Fire II. The concerts will be at the venues: Ääniwalli (Helsinki) on February 22 and Klubi (Tampere) on February 23. SUFFOCATION rose to prominence of death metal and created a blueprint for the genre for the 1990s with their 1991 debut album «Effigy of the Forgotten», and have released eight studio albums since formation. The band’s raw death metal style uses growled vocals with a downtuned guitar sound, fast and complex guitar riffs and drumming, open chord notes, breakdowns, and a sophisticated sense of songwriting.. BELPHEGOR originally formed in 1991 under the name BETRAYER before changing their name in 1993. They are named after the demon Belphegor. These legendary bands will be supported in these two concerts by groups HATE, BETRAYAL and CARNOSUS.
