There are mainly two types of accommodation possibilities which are either camping at the festival venue or staying somewhere in the city. Budapest is full of hotels, hostels and private accommodations and the Sziget–Budapest Citypass is a great way to move around the city at a low cost. So this option would be the best for those who want to visit the city and go sightseeing while enjoying the festival. The first option though, gives you the opportunity to experience and be a part of the real festival atmosphere. Everyone who has at least two day tickets is entitled to sleep on the island and use the basic camping facilities. You can camp almost anywhere on the island and there are several designated camping zones, including one for anyone who has a wheelchair (and his/her friends!) called Ability Camping and one designed for families with special features for the kids.
All camping areas have shower facilities and toilets and all you need to bring is your tent and belongings, if you don’t have a tent you can even get a Sziget Camping set! All kind of items such as mattress, sleeping bags etc are available in the webshop. The organization offers a guarded locker to save the important stuff which can be booked in advance from the website.
Upgrade campsites are also available in the venue for everyone who would like to enjoy some extra comfort. From a Caravan Camping, to a Pre-Pitch Tents Camping, there is even a Flexotel Village. So check out the website and choose the best option for you and your friends!
