Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir and Dark Funeral this October in Helsinki
Extreme metal bands BEHEMOTH, DIMMU BORGIR and DARK FUNERAL will arrive in two week to Hesinki with their new «In League With Satan Tour 2026″. The concert will be at the venue Jäähalli (Helsinki) on October 27th.
BEHEMOTH was formed in 1991 in the city of Gdańsk. They are considered to have played an important role in establishing the Polish extreme metal underground. They have released thirteen studio albums so far, and their latest one «The Shit Ov God» was released last year via Nuclear Blast. The band features Adam «Nergal» Darski on lead vocals and lead/rhythm guitar, Tomasz «Orion» Wróblewski on bass and backing vocals, Zbigniew «Inferno» Promiński on drums and Patryk «Seth» Sztyberon rhythm/lead guitar and backing vocals. According to Phoenix New Times, who named BEHEMOTH one of the «most Satanic metal bands of all time», assessed that the band «merges the mysticism and image of black metal with the force, precision and brutality of death metal».
DIMMU BORGIR was formed in Jessheim in 1993.The name derives from Dimmuborgir, a volcanic formation in Iceland, the name of which means «dark cities» or «dark castles/fortresses» in Icelandic, Faroese and Old Norse. The band has been through numerous lineup changes over the years. Vocalist Shagrath and guitarist Silenoz are the only remaining original members. The band is considered to be a symphonic/melodic black metal band with progressive metal tendencies. The band’s older releases (since 1994 to 1999) are, according to AllMusic journalist Bradley Torreano, strongly influenced by Darkthrone, Mayhem, Bathory, Emperor, Celtic Frost, Immortal, Venom, and Iron Maiden. The band became more progressive and symphonic through the years. They have released nine studio albums so far, their latest «Eonian» was released in 2018 via Nuclear Blast.
DARK FUNERAL was founded in Stockholm by guitarists Blackmoon and Lord Ahriman in 1993, during the second wave of black metal. The group have released seven full-length albums and are prominent in the Swedish black metal scene.Their lyrical themes have traditionally pertained to Satanism and anti-Christianity. Certain past and present members including Blackmoon, Ahriman, Caligula, and Chaq Mol have each declared an affinity for Satanism, with Ahriman and Caligula notably being practitioners of LaVeyan Satanism. In their earlier years, their lyrical themes usually revolved specifically around depictions of Hell and Satan. After Emperor Magus Caligula joined the band, their lyrics came to focus more on blasphemy and anti-Christian rhetoric, although there have been several exceptions to this.
This concert is part of TuskaLive / Finnish Metal Events Oy – concert series – in cooperation with Grey Beard Concerts & Management.
