Live At The Oval 1971 es la primera grabación oficial del codiciado set de The Who en Goodbye Summer: A Rock Concert in aid of Famine Relief for the People of Bangladesh, cuando encabezaron el cartel del campo de críquet The Oval en Kennington, al sur de Londres, el 18 de septiembre de 1971. Durante el concierto, la banda, compuesta por Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle y Keith Moon, interpretó un asombroso setlist de 15 canciones, entre ellas clásicos como «Behind Blue Eyes», «Won’t Get Fooled Again», «Pinball Wizard» y más, para un público de más de 35.000 personas.

La banda acababa de lanzar Who’s Next un mes antes, el 2 de agosto de 1971 y tocó cinco canciones del clásico en The Oval. Conocidos por sus actuaciones impredecibles e inolvidables, el concierto concluyó con Townshend y Moon destrozando sus equipos.
