1349 and Kampfar coming to Helsinki in 2 weeks
Norwegian black meta bands 1349 and KAMPFAR will play in two weeks in Helsinki with their new European Tour 2024. The concert will be at the venue Ääniwalli (Helsinki) on October 7th . 1349 was formed in 1997 in the city of Oslo. The band’s name is a reference to the year the Black Death reached Norway. They have released seven studio albums so far, and their newest one «The Wolf & the King» will be released on October 4 via Season of Mist. The band features Olav «Ravn» Bergene on lead vocals, Tor Risdal «Seidemann» Stavenes on bass and backing vocals, Idar «Archaon» Burheim on guitars and backing vocals, and Kjetil-Vidar «Frost» Haraldstad on drums (SATYRICON). 1349 is a band formed with a unified vision and specific purpose: To maintain the legacy of black metal.
KAMPFAR was formed by their singer Dolk in 1994 . Their name is an ancient Norse battle cry which means Odin or Wotan. The music of KAMPFAR can be described as black metal inspired by Norwegian folklore and nature. Their album «Profan» was given Norway‘s 2015 Spellemann Award for best metal album of the year. Their lineup consists of Dolk on vocals, Ask on drums, Ole on guitars and Jon on bass. KAMPFAR released in 2022 their latest album «Til klovers takt» via Indie Recordings. Danish black metal project AFSKY will be the special guest of the evening.
