Liturgy in two weeks in Helsinki

American black metal band LITURGY will play in Helsinki this September as a part of their new European tour 2024. The concert will be at the venue Kuudes Linja (Helsinki) on September 3. The band features Haela Hunt-Hendrix (vocals, guitar), Mario Miron (guitar), Tia Vincent-Clark (bass) and Leo Didkovsky (drums). LITURGY have released sixth studio albums, “93696” is their latest album released in 2023 via Thrill Jockey. The band have described their music as «transcendental black metal», but they have experimented with other genres including progressive rock, classical music, avant-garde metal, hip hop and electronic music. In the band’s early days, Hunt-Hendrix expressed her interest in the work of SWANS, GLENN BRANCA, RHYS CHATHAM, LA MONTE YOUNG and LIGHTING BOLT as influences. The opening bands for the evening will be Finnish electronic artist QUEENDYSTER.
