MODERN HEAVY METAL CONFERENCE 2016 this week in Helsinki

MHMC2016 (June 30- July 3) consists of a research seminar with paper/practice presentations, keynotes, and a metal industry panel/workshop. The particular focus of the conference is on themes touching the various aspects of metal business and markets, and on fortifying the link between the academia and metal practice. To strengthen the practical relevance, MHMC2016 collaborates closely with Tuska Open Air Metal Festival (www.tuska-festival.fi) and Music Finland (www.musicfinland.fi).

Tuska Festival will be the central part of the conference experience. MHMC guests are able to experience the special Tuska atmosphere and see great bands in the festival. And many of the artists and industry people at Tuska will have a good excuse to visit the MHMC. Moreover, there will be many other Tuska-related metal clubs, with lots of bands performing, and other metal events occurring during the week in Helsinki.
