Atari Teenage Riot this week in Helsinki
German digital hardcore/industrial squad ATARI TEENAGE RIOT will play one and only concert this Friday in Helsinki. The concert will be at the venue The Circus on May 10. Their latest album was “Reset” (2014, Digital Hardcore). The band was founded in 1992 by Alec Empire, Hanin Elias and MC Carl Crack. In 1996 Nic Endo joined the group. ATARI TEENAGE RIOT is a highly political band, they fused anarchist, anti-fascist and anti-Nazi views with punk vocals and the extreme techno sound called digital hardcore, instustrial music and hip hop sounds. The group’s strength has always been their huge live show. The band creates a tremendous energy on stage that is not matched by any other electronic music act. They do it with an Atari 1040ST computer. They apply the hacker’s mindset to music. These extremes make ATARI TEENAGE RIOT’s sound unique. They digitized the spirit of punk.
